At the heart of this story is the fact that, yes, life is scarier than any monster our imaginations can come up with.

Once again, I should stop reading horror.

Try as I might, horror just doesn’t work for me.

Reading this made me realize that my brain just won’t register horror in any normal way.

For a person who doesn’t care much for horror, I rather enjoyed this.
